New Day Collection (Megan) - New layouts added!

When I got the kit, I have to admit, I was reluctant to create with these gorgeous papers. I just wanted to put them in my collection for a while so I could look at them cos they were so delicious.

But that isn't going to inspire you, so I forced myself to get my scissors out

I have another layout waiting for some finishing touches, but here is my first layout. I used Crate - Brook - Float as my background (gorgeous paper):



I used a couple of photos of Connor from when we went camping at Easter. I caught him having some time to himself lost in his thoughts, so it was nice to get a layout done of these pictures.

I embellished the layout using the Crate chipboard accents which I layered and added a few buttons to. I also added one of the birds from the Prima Songbird Vine:



To create my title I started with a Flip note and then added the title using both the alphabets and then added some more chipboard accents.



I also added some of the Artisan tape over my photos to add some more dimension as another border.

Would you believe its the first time I have used a prima sprig on a page? I don't think I would have if it wasn't in the kit, so definitely a good way for me to try something new

Great idea using the font stickers on the large chipboard flower for your title Megan...might just have to 'borrow' that idea.
